Cannot connect to internet suddenly

Hello

I hv installed XP Pro in my notebook. While surfing the net, suddenly
antispy alerted a message to Allow/Block(just accessing yahoo messenger and
using webcam). I clicked Block. After that i cannot able to connect to net. I
must restore the system to earlier date. Then ok. This is happening many
times?

Yes'day also happend. So i tried to find out the problem instead of
restoring(ofcourse restoring also not worked), i found a process
window-mod.exe is running(owner network) is consuming 17 mb memory. I endtask
that. Then i able to connect net.

What is that file? how can i block that. Neither Microsoft Anti Spy identify
nor Yahoo antispy when i run spyware scan.

How can i block that file when it is trying to install.

Start>Run>msconfig>OK

Now click on the Startup tab and locate 'Windows-mod.exe' Uncheck the
box against it.Apply and restart the machine.

Start>Run>Regedit>OK

Now navigate to the following location:-

HKLM\..\Run: [Windows mod Verifier] Windows-mod.exe
HKLM\..\RunServices: [Windows mod Verifier] Windows-mod.exe

Delete those keys.

Check for other occurances throgh Search option.

You need to scan your system with HijackThis/Spybot,Search and
Destroy/CWShredder.Run all the latest versions in Safe mode. You also
need a good firewall.
