Canno find specified path

Hi,

I cannot delete any files or folders on one of my drives. The following error message pops up: "Cannot Delete [name of file]: Cannot Find the Specified Path. Make sure you specify the correct path."

The only way I can temporarily fix this is by checking the "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin" option in the recycle bin's properties.

Why has this happened all of a sudden, and how can I fix it?

Thank you
