This request is for Nass. I read the postings you have replied to for the
specified module and have printed the sequence on how to correct, but I am
encountering blanks, not sure which way to go, such as?
#1 Click Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove,Locate My Web Search, Click Remove.
NOTHING APPEARS WITH THIS NAME TO REMOVE ON CONTROL PANEL.
#2 Locating File folder, Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Windows
Explorer, Locate path C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\mwsoemon.exe
Shift & Delete to by pass Recycle bin.
WHERE DO YOU TYPE THE PATH, ONLY THING SHOWING is Desktop, My Documents, My
Computer, My Newwork Places, Recycle Bin

I want to be able to try what you suggested to other folks, but unable to go
any furhter with the paths as you stated.

What am I doing wrong, can anyone help me?
However I did a search and found 84 files under Owner, MyComputer, My
HardDrive (C&D) and HP Pavilion (C:) listed as My Web Search and My Way My
Web Search.

Then you'd skip this step, as it may have been partially removed previously.

Use Explorer for this.

However, you can go to Start, Run, and type or copy&paste this portion of
the path in the box, and have the folder open:

C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\

Though you're really going to want to delete the MyWebSearch folder itself
ultimately. But you won't be able to do that right away if the files are
in use.

You may find that the file is in use and can't be deleted; in that case, try
renaming it to something like "mwsoemon.bad". After a reboot, you'll
perhaps get an error message you can ignore, and then you can get back to
deleting the files.

You will probably find that many of those are .lnk files. All of them
should be deleted if you're trying to rid yourself of MyWebSearch.
