SYMPTOMS: When you insert an IBM 10/100 EtherJet CardBus
network adapter card into an IBM ThinkPad 760XD portable
computer running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, you
receive the following error message:

The device 'Texas Instruments PCI-1130 CardBus
Controller' has detected a CardBus card in its slot, but
the firmware on this system is not configured to allow
the CardBus controller to be run in CardBus mode.

CAUSE: This behavior occurs because Windows 2000
Professional supports only 16-bit (R2) network adapters
on this controller.

STATUS: Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
