Cable Connection, but dialup box pops up when I open IE???

Road Runner cable connection/Windows XP/Pro/Zone Alarm Pro/AVG Antivirus
with latest definitions/No email attachments were opened: All was working
fine for months. Starting yesterday whenever IE is opened, a work offline
dialog box pops up, saying that no internet connection is available. When
Try Again is clicked, it goes to my default page and works fine. The dialog
box pops up every time and is annoying. I looked in Options and can't find
anything out of the ordinary.

I IE: file, uncheck: work offline.
Thyen tools, internet options, connections, lan settings, makes sure auto
detect settings is checked and no proxy is be used.
