The FZ18 arrived today and WOW the zoom is good :D

I'll take some pics once I've had a chance to test it on something interesting :)

SLIK DX700 is what I would keep on the top of my list to get, not too expensive and very sturdy. Will last for a long time.

I own it so I recommend it! ;)

The 2 x 2GB Sandisk Extreme III cards arrived today, and boy are they fast! If I stick the camera into burst mode it must do about 4 per second and just keeps on going :D

Well, that does have something to do with the built-in memory, in your case 27Mb, acting as an on-board buffer. ;)

Can be frustrating, if you fill that up, waiting for the camera to then respond, I wondered if I broke mine, I also have 27Mb, must get me some extreem cards. :D

Where are the picks ?????????? :p

I'm heading out tomorrow to take some proper photos - not had a chance yet as when I've finished working it's all dark

I could point it out of the window and take one of a crane though (not the bird, but the building type ;)).
