BSOD

I am getting a blue screen error on my computer. It may
not do it for several day or it may do it several times
in a day. Sometime the BSOD will say that the problem is
related to the trid3d.dll and sometime it will not say. I
have updated the driver from the SOYO company, replaced
the BIOS, used Norton Systemwork for look for errors, ran
the REGCLEAN program from the Microsoft site, tried
turning off caching and shadowing, followed up with
Norton and their suggestion to clear up a possible bad
file with a new one and installed it per their
instructions, I ran the memory tester and countless other
suggestions.
I have a SOYO K7VEMPRO, 256 ram, V92 Bestdata modem, CD
burner with Roxio software (current updates installed, CD
drive, Mustek scanner, Canon BJC-5100 printer, 40M HD and
Windows XP Pro.
I check EVENTVWR and there are 5 listings. It says that
there was a TRUE VECTOR ENGINE error and a file in the
WINDOWS\INTERNET.LOG has been deleted. It is something
*.1db
Can anyone help? I don't want to reformat and install XP
again. I am running out of hair

Are you using Zone Alarm?
Zone Alarm uses true vector engine, and it made a mess for me sometimes when
running other apps. You should check this out and maybe install another type
of personal firewall.
Thats for the "eventvwr"-logs.

Not sure about the BSOD though... could be anything. Have BSOD-problems
going on for a month right now...
