BSOD wanarp.sys when using Cisco VPN Client

Hi

I am experiencing an issue with a laptop used by one of our staff which has
me pretty much totally lost.

The laptop connects to a wireless network and can connect to the Internet
with no issues at all. Our company uses the Cisco VPN solution to connect
remote machines to our office. When this user connects to the VPN it works
correctly for a certain period of time and then experiences a BSOD.
The BSOD shows the issue as being a KMODE_UNHANDLED_EXCEPTION in
wanarp.sys, the Windows Remote IP system driver. I have used sfc to resote
this file in case it had been corrupted. I have also uninstalled and
re-installed the Cisco software. No other users on the VPN have encountered
this error. The machine is service-packed and fully updated on Windows Update.

I have listed the relevant hardware and software details below. Any thoughts
or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

IBM ThinkPad T42
Intel Centrino Processor
Intel Pro Wireless 2200 BG Network Adapter

Microsoft Windows XP Professional v5.12.2600(SP2)

Same Problem

Hi,
we use Windows XP Prof. english version with german language pack.
We have often the same problem while using Cisco System VPN Client Version 4.9.01.0300
Sometimes the Host-entrys get empty in VPN-Client after the bluescreen.
The file mentioned in the BSOD is:
wanarp.sys
We also use Trend Micro OfficeScan

Does anybody know how to solve the problem?

Notebook is a HP Compaq 6320 with Broadcom-LAN and Intel Wireless-LAN

Activated in the networkoptions:
Client for Microsoft Networks
Teterministic Network Enhancer
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
QoS Packet Scheduler
and of course:
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

Thx for help!
