bridging connections error message

Windows XP Home, I have a Zoom DSL modem plus my ethernet adapter that I have
had bridged. I just updated to Norton Systemworks 2007 (from 2006 ver) and I
lost my bridge. Now when I try to bridge I get an error message that says "An
unexpected error occured while configuring the Network Bridge." NO details or
anything. Any ideas what it could be.

Hi
There is No need to Bridge if you have only one computer.
If you have more than one computer, you should describe your whole system,
and what you are trying to achieve.

My desktop, running Windows XP home is networked by ethernet to 2 other
computers in our church. Mine has the Zoom DSL Modem attached that brings our
dsl service in and is shared throughout the net. In the past our ISP had
bridged the Zoom Modem and local connection. While the internet is being
shared okay I cannot see any of the other computers. As well, I have a Belkin
wireless router for my laptop and I can't connect to it either. All units are
running Win XP home.

Hi
When there is a Router, the best way to configure a peer-to-peer network is
around the Router.
The DSL Modem should be connected to WAN port of the Router, and all other
computers (wired, and wireless) should be configured to work with the LAN
side of the Router.
Looks like this, http://www.ezlan.net/network/router.jpg
I do not know why the system was configured to share through a Host.
If you need to reconfigure through the Host may be this can Help.
