Im having problems when my tries to boot up. I am running Windows XP
Professional and all goes well on the first part of a startup from cold. The
system boots then waits for me to click on my user ID. When I do this the
problems start. First the system tries to load Windows Installer. It gets so
far then stops with a message that says " Wait while Windows configures
TrayApp" . It then stops with another error. that says " An unhandler
exception has occured. Click continue and windows will ignore this error and
attempt to continue. However when I click on contiunue the system just put up
the unhandler error message again and the system is locked in an endless
loop. THe only way out is to press Ctrl Alt Del and run windows Task Manager,
then kill the errant tasks i.e TrayApp and Windows Installer from there. The
system then runs ok and seems to be quite stable. However I have no system
tray showing on the bar at the bottom of the screen. Any help as to how to
trace and rectify this problem would be very much appreciated.
