Boot Up Message

I am currently using Windows XO Professional. Recently I installed an external hard drive to my PC. Now each time I turn on the computer I get the following error message:

ERR 5: Error finding Vfloppy.sys
ERR 8: Fake Floppy Driver not found
Press any key to boot active partition.

Does anyone know how to correct this error so I can avoid this message every time I turn on my PC

You neglect to mention the brand name of the external hard
drive you purchased. I would start with that vendor's web
site and look in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) or
Troubleshooting section.

You might also try uninstalling the drive and then
reinstalling it . . .

You can search for the file in question (vfloppy.sys) on
the installation disc and try putting it in the
C:\Windows\System32 folder . . .

Good Luck !
