Boot Up Error Screen

M

MikeT

When system is rebooted I get an error screen. Windows
cannot find 'c:\Windows\System32\pixel.exe' Make sure you
typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search
for a file, click the start button and then click search.

Next I get Desk Top error screen. Could not load or
run 'C:\Windows\System32\pixel.exe' specified in the
registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or
remove the reference to it in the registry.

That file is not on my computer. How do I remove the
reference to it in the registry?

Thanks

Mike, go to Start>Run type: msconfig Select Startup Tab and see if
there's an entry for it. Uncheck if there is.
Also, go to Start>Run type: regedit. Navigate to
Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\run, run
once etc. Check in each Run folder for
an entry. If there delete it.

I did a system restore and it seems to have corrected the
problem. Thanks for the help
