Bluescreen

I got a bluescreen full of "stuff", it must mean something to someone, when I
tried to shut down. My Lenovo 3000 K series would not shut down automatically
and I had to turn it off by pressing the Off/On button.
The Ethernet network is pointed to.
Anyone else with the same problem?

Yes it does mean something, had you written down and posted the codes we may
have been able to assist you with fixing what went wrong with your system.

What do you mean "The Ethernet network is pointed to." That comment doesn't
make sense.

Hi,

That "stuff" can mean something, but you actually have to tell us what it
is.
The Ethernet network is pointed to.

Then the first step would be to look for updated driver software to support
your network adapter. The best source for this is the adapter manufacturer,
not Windows Update.

LVTravel;
Thanks for you interest and response.
The "stuff" I refered to was the screen full of text and numbers on the
bluescreen when I couldn't shut down. I should have written down every thing
on the screen, but I was more bothered than conserned.
I hope it doesn't occur anymore. But if it does I'll be more alert and ready.
"Pointed to!" The diagnostics I was instructed to run refered to the
Ethernet network as the probable cause. Either the drivers or the hardware.
Note: I have a second computer, the same Lenovo 3000 K series, connected to
the same gateway. This system has not had this problem.

Any help is appreciated

Rick;
I'm on my way to website of the manufacturer of my gateway. I'll also call
my ISP to see if I can actually get a new one. This one is at least three
years old.

Rick;
One more thing, both computers have a wireless mouse. Both were the same,
but mine died. I've got a new one that seems to get lazy after three of four
hours, and doesn't respond immediately to movement or button clicks. This
will be an issue I'll check also.

Thanks again.
