Blue Screen - stop 1e

I encountered the following blue screen.

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I was using Word (Office XP) as editor for Outlook.

Is there a hotfix for this problem - what is it?

(To send me an email, substitute my first name in lower
case for the spam block text).

There are more than 800 hits on Google for win2k.sys, half
of which suggest a virus infection . . .
