Blue Screen after Windows update was installed - ITE - Other hardw

When running Windows update I was prompted to update the OS with the following:
ITE - Other hardware - UMass Storage Device(330)
now I receive a blue screen with the error code 100000d1‎ every time I
connect my iMono 8 bit card reader.

Do you have any thoughts/suggestions ideas on how to either uninstall the
update or override the update with another driver or update so I can use the
card reader again.

Thanks and regards,
W

Hi Wolfgang,

Is "UMass" above "USB Mass"?

If you are sure the update is a driver, you can use the rollback driver
option, otherwise go to Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, checkmark "Show
Updates" at the top, find the update and uninstall it and test.

To rollback a newly installed driver:
Right-click My Computer on your desktop, click Properties, click Hardware
tab, click Device Manager. Find the device in Device Manager, right click
the device, click Driver tab, click Roll Back Driver, and test.

Keep a written date/time record of all changes for future reference.

It is not a good idea to get drivers from Windows Update. Go to the
manufacturers website for the most up to date drivers.

HTH. (Hope This Helps. :)

I have the same problem. However 'Restore' doesn't work, I can't find the driver in the hardware list and the update doesn't appear in the add/remove. Any ideas?
