Blue Letters

Can't figure out why hard drive label and all contents,
that is folders and files are showing in blue instead of
black as all my other hard drives do.

The color blue indicates that the folders and files are compressed. It's a
folder view option.

Thank you - now, I do remember that. - but did not mean to compress this drive.

compression makes the files use smaller disk space though. but you can
always uncompress the drive or just specific files and folders.

right click on drive icon > properties > under the general tab, check or
uncheck compress drive...

or...

right click on folder icon of choice > properties > general tab > advanced
button > check or uncheck compress contents...
