Blue bar on Windows Explorer

What is this blue bar in Windows Explorer called or named in Vista? If I type
"Windows Explorer" in Help & Support, I get all answers for Internet
Explorer. Doesn't Vista know what it means?

The blue bar on the bottom is the "Preview pane".
