blocked bc-02

My bc-02 cartridge appears to have an odd problem.
If I dip the printhead in hot water I can dab ink off the inkjets. But
when I put the cartridge in the printer (Canon BJ200), there is no ink
given to the paper.. I know that the printer is all right because I have
used a friends cartidge and get perfect print. So when dipped in hot water
the jets are unblocked, but when I put it in the printer they reblock up.
Can anyone suggest a method to rectify the problem - short of buying a new
cartridge.

Just on this point of cartridges. Does anyone know of a source for an
empty (used bc-02) cartidge that i could buy and refill myself.

I think the heads are blown.

Buy a new one, use it, and re-fill it as needed.
