remanufactured BC-02 + banding

I have just fitted a remanufactured Bc-02 cartridge in to my Canon
BJ200 printer. I am getting banding and weak printing on all modes.

My printer is quite old. Is it possible that the small circuit in the
printer that makes contact with the cartridge could be damaged or worn.
Could this account for banding or weak printing. Or are these phenomena
indicative of blocked jets. My first thought was that the jects were
blocked. But I have only just received the cartridge.

Let me know what you think.

I would suspect the cartridge. I was using a model 240 until some
inexpensive ink seem to have clogged the three BC-02 cartridges I
have. They had worked fine with a different ink before, but all failed
at once after I filled them with this ink. I have not figured how to
unplug them.

Thanks for the reply.

I can't unblock my jets either. I tried dipping the head in hot water.
I got an improvement for a little while, but it soon blocked up again.
I don't undertsnd the problem about inks and clogging. I would have
thought that if the inks were about the density of water, then they
should flow?

Best wishes
