bizzare remote desktop issue; "The computer can't connect to the remote computer."

XP Media Center SP2. IE 7 and RDP 6 (6.0.6000.16386). Multiple admin
users accounts. One account can run RDP fine, save passwords, etc.
All other (admin) accounts immediately failed with the "The computer
can't connect to the remote computer." when going to the same computer
(or a bogus computer, etc.).

If I attempt to create a new admin account I hit the same problem. So
basically I only have one "working account" when trying to RDP. Can't
figure this one out.

If all accounts did not work that might explain port access, security
settings or some other issue, but since one account works fine and the
others do not I have not idea what's going on.

Checked Group Policy, other security settings and don't see anything
that should be preventing this.

This is a new box (came with SP2 and when I first ran it I installed
all the recent updates including IE7); have not tried to uninstall RDP
6 or IE 7, may give that a try. Any help appreciated.

Are the limited accounts members of the Remote Desktop Users group?

All accounts are admin accounts. The admin accounts are allowed for
RDP, etc. Still have not figured it out. What I did do was to copy
over the old RD client and that works (when I need to login to the a
different admin account other than my own [talking about the admin
account on the physical box, where mine is all good RDP elsewhere but
all others fail [with the latest RDP client]; so using the older RDP
client on those other admin accounts works well enough, but its still a
mystery.
