basic games

I switched to XP several months ago and all the basic
games that came with the install(solitare, etc.) worked
fine. Since then I've loaded several programs (McAfee,HP
printer)that took several attempts to load. Now my games
folder says (empty). How can I reload those games? Can I
load them from the MS site? I am concerned if I have to
reload them from the install XP CD that it'll limit my use
of the CD.

You can go into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs, then click on the
Add/Remove Windows Components in the left panel (Classic View). With
Accessories highlighted, click the Details button. On the next screen,
single-left-click the Games listing, then click Details again. Add or
remove check marks from the boxes to the left of the games you want. Then
OK your way out. The files are all system files, and Windows XP will
install/remove them automatically for you.
