Basic Games in XP replaced by Internet games

I used to have the basic Freecell/Solataire/minesweeper etc on my XP home pc.
After reinstalling Outlook Express to my PC I find these games have been
replaced by internet games from MS/Zone.com. (Is it me or is the Add/Remove
facility ambiguous as it doesn't say whether it's adding OR removing a
program until it's too late to do anything about it?).
I can uninstal these internet games but I can't seem to re-install the
original basic games, even when using my XP cd.
Help please?

Hi bograt,

I've updated Outlook Express on my system, and my Solitaire games did not
dissapear, they still happily co-exist in the same folder as my Internet Games.

Somehow, your Solitaire games became uninstalled.. we'll just reinstall them.

To add/remove Windows XP Games:

Click START > Control Panel
Add or Remove Programs
Add Remove Windows Components
Accessories and Utilities
[Details...]
Games
[Details...]
Select the games to install, here's how:
Place a check to install, or uncheck to uninstall
* If you're installing, and it's already checked, uncheck the
box and then check it again to trick Windows into reinstalling
Click [OK] 3 times.

thanks for your help Jimmy.

seems I have a dodgy XP disk. Finally got it to work at fifth attempt.

I still believe the Add/Remove procedure is ambiguous, and why no choice
over the internet games?

Sometimes I despair of Microsoft.
