Trying to play avi files with WMP. Cannot find the codecs
it tells me. How can I play avi files? Can they be
played on a WMP?

The codecs are freely available on the web. avi files can
have different codecs for example: div3, xvid, etc. Your
best bet is to download a codec pack. My personal
favourite is Gordian Knot Codec pack. If you do a search
in yahoo you can easily find it. This installs the
necessary codecs for playing most video files. The only
problem is the software has adware attached to it.
(GAIN). If you do a search when in Safe mode the adware
folders can be deleted.

You might try searching the net for free codecs. Some codecs are
free, others will cost you a fee. If you do find codecs to play the
AVI files, make sure they come with an installer. Go here first:
