Hello all
Looks like a great site. Need help.
I am dealing with "automatic private IP address" problem. I have 3 computers through netgear router. 2 by cable and 1 wireless. All are XP sp2. 1 cable and the wireless laptop work fine. The other shows connecton is fine but doesn't
get ip adress. I have learned something about it here. I went to sys config
components-network-protocol and the first 2 groups (a group starting with "name") and they both have the words "BMI over" before the msafd line. After that there are 2 groups starting with rsvp then 18 with msafd and many of these are identical. Doesn't seem right. Can anyone help? Ken

You might find some tips for setting up above.

Screenshots would be helpful.

check your cable
is it the right type of cable?

you'll need a straight through cable when going from router to PC.
just to rule that out if it is a problem.
