Automatic disconnect after send receive mail

I have used microsoft outlook for email, calendar, keeping track of things
for years. Just upgraded to Office 2003 professional and cannot find out how
to set the internet connection to disconnect after sending or receiving
email. We are "land lines" and limited hours per month, are worried we won't
remember to disconnect after each send/receive operation. I've looked, but
don't find anything like this "command" in the 2003 version. I'm not super
computer literate, so if you have any suggestions, would appreciate your
being pretty specific. Many thanks.

I use Outlook Express so don't know how much different, but try this if you
can.
When in Outlook click on tools, click on options and then select connection.
What do you see?
