auto-complete will not work

Recently I bought a new PC with the XP Home operating system and IE6
installed. Since then I'm unable to use the auto-complete feature of IE6. I
had found this feature extremely valuable in previous internet use on my old
computer. I can't figure out why it won't work now. All the boxes are
selected in the Tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete box. It
works only in the address bar, but not in any forms, and that's where I most
want to use it.

I will be very grateful if anyone can offer me a solution. Thanks.

Regards,
Sogn

There are lots of autocomplete features in XP.
Google history is at the bottom.

Thanks..but the responses only told me how to set up auto complete, which I already did (I believe others who've posted this question have done the same). None of the URLs offered gave us a solution to the problem. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

ok it might not work in forms on websites.
are you filling out hundreds of forms each day?
this is not a reason to change back to previous software.

there are some things on forms that should not be filled
in if items are optional. too much information others
know about you and you get more problems.
