I have been having troubles with hearing and being able to
send sound to my father who is only about 20 miles away. I
had him change his mic from the logitech to the built in
computer and see if that helps. It does but when I say
something, I hear and eacho of my voice when I speak. I am
useing my computer built in mic. We are both useing
windows XP and both have HP Pavilion computers. Any help
would be apreciated. Maybe this has been said many times
before but have been searching the pages here and have not
found the similar troubles. Thank you in advance. We both
have no troubles with useing the web cam as we can see
each other fine.

Allan,

You hear yourself because your voice is being fed out through your
father's speakers and into his microphone. Either he has to turn his mic
and/or speaker volume down or separate his mic and speakers from each other
as much as possible.
