Audio problem in Messenger

B

Bubba

I have two Dells. One upstairs(WindowsME) and one downstairs(Windows XP). I
have MSN Messenger 6.2 on both. I have mics hooked up to both. Whenever my
wife and I try to talk to each other from the 2 computers, she can hear me
just fine but I can't hear her at all. I have ran the audio wizard on both
and they both check out fine. I have checked to make sure everything is
turned and found nothing wrong. Does anyone have any idea what I can check
now? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Dan,

I assume these PCs are hooked up to the same network? If so, you might try turning off the
QoS Packet Scheduler on the XP machine. To do so, click Start, then click the Control Panel.
If you're in category view click Network and Internet connections then click Network
Connections. Right click your network/internet connection, then click Properties. Uncheck the
QoS Packet Scheduler, then reboot and try again. If you're unable to uncheck it (grayed but
still on), choose the Uninstall button instead.

Hey Jonatan,

I have a similar problem with some differences. here are the details

I have two computers one in New Jesry(IBM, T42P window XP) and other
one(windows 2000 Professional) in
India). I am in new jesry and using IBM computer. Both systems are connected
to the internet and have MSN Messenger 6.2 on both. I have mics hooked up to
both. Whenever my wife(from India) and I try to talk to each other from the 2
computers, I can hear her just fine but she can't hear me at all. I have
ran
the audio wizard on my system and it is working fine. I have checked to make
sure everything is
turned and found nothing wrong. Does anyone have any idea what I can check
now? Thanks in advance for your help.

Please help in resolving this issue
