That's the propaganda Microsoft put out.
I never believed that. I did believe that there would be some
noticeable improvements. That's not the case.
Not sure that it ever will produce any "WOW".
Which is exactly why I tell most users to wait. As of *now*,
they don't need something that is designed for the future.
Even if they just want something that is better, I can't honestly
say Vista is better... not right *now*.
Well, I sure did notice a difference going from 98 to XP....
installing XP on the *same* machines 98 was already installed.
XP will live a lot longer than 98 and will continue to be
developed for.
Sure it is, simply because practically all new computers will come
with Vista. That doesn't mean a thing, except, all new computers
will come with Vista. It does not mean Vista will "change the world
of computing". That remains to be seen. Although, I seriously doubt
it. I honestly believe, that it will be some type of Linux that eventually
turns the computing world, as we know it, upside down. Linux may
even force Windows to be better. Lawd have mercy on Microsoft if
Apple ever decides to release an OS for the PC.

You and obviously a few others thought that installing Vista would
change the world of computing right "NOW".
That's the propaganda Microsoft put out.
I never believed that. I did believe that there would be some
noticeable improvements. That's not the case.
But using Vista with current or old hardware/software is not going to
produce any "WOW" right "NOW".
Not sure that it ever will produce any "WOW".
Vista is designed for use right now but it's technological advances are
designed to take advantage of future hardware/software features and
innovations and developments.
Which is exactly why I tell most users to wait. As of *now*,
they don't need something that is designed for the future.
Even if they just want something that is better, I can't honestly
say Vista is better... not right *now*.
Look at it this way, if you simply installed Vista where you had XP
other than a new look, you'll not notice much difference. But XP is for
all intense and purposes dead. Development by hardware/software
developers will now focus strictly on the Vista platform.
Well, I sure did notice a difference going from 98 to XP....
installing XP on the *same* machines 98 was already installed.
XP will live a lot longer than 98 and will continue to be
developed for.
It is the future.
