AOM direct IP through Netgear RT314...

J

Jay D.

I'm trying to setup a multi-player game through a netgear router,
firewall....
With no luck at all...
If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

RT314 - firmware 3.25
XP Pro SP1 - and all the hotfixes...

Things I've tried..
Port forwarding for all the ports I can find for the game.
6073
2300-2400
47624

Even tried setting up as DMZ still a no go.
I know it has to do with the netgear because if I by pass it everything is
fine..

Thanks in advance....

Use OverrideAddress="XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" including the quotes
in your AOM.exe shortcut to allow direct IP play through
the Router. You may have to have the ports open as well.

I can't give you a direct link right now, because my work
blocks certain websites. Use the following google link to
find information on how to use the OverrideAddress feature.
