Anyone seeing any crashing on new Ad-aware 2007?

I found on 3 computers i put it on when i tried to do the last update I got
a serious fault crash in the program and it created an error msg to send to
lavasoft which I allowed to send, but i could not grab the msg because it
came so fast and went so fast but i did manage to see it had something to do
with an update to "Service" and to the aawservice.exe
Also in this mess it showed the update as successful which is impossible
since it crashed and when I re opened the program it still has the same date
of 6/08/07 not the new update date of 6/12/07.

I posted it to their website. Seems others are having the same thing but
one person said to do something in Norton Security but I do NOT have Norton,
on 5 computers I am running AVG Free and one AVG Pro with firewall and the
last update prior to this one went fine.

Anyone here seeing this?

I cannot see it as a ssl security issue
I checked in AVG Pro and it that service is "allowed"

I am running zone alarm free on one of the computers it crashed on and it is
set to allow it also.

One a test computer i am only running windows firewall
Besides I have other programs that go to secure sites to upload updates and
they load just dandy.

Looking at the Lavasoft forum now, I must say it looks like a software
publisher's nightmare. Every day sees a new flood of complaints, anguished
cries, and bug reports. I can't imagine what's gone so badly wrong here, but
clearly it was nowhere near to being ready for general release.

Hi Alan,

This fiasco from Lavasoft sounds as if they might have read the instructions
from some of Microsoft Updates' playbook. :>

just so you know i removed all ad aware 2007 from all my computers except
the test computer (maybe they will come up with a fix then I will test it on
that one and reinstall it on the others once I know it is actually fixed)
and put back ad aware se which works perfectly with no errors at all.
