I have had a similar error - but mine tells me to call Microsoft - but I
cannot find a beta support nimber for them.... Here is my error message:

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. There is an error
synchronizing your mail account, please call Microsoft support to resolve
this issue. Server:
'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v1.0.0/sync.aspx', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Port: 80, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 204, Error Number:
0x8DE00002

I would have posted seperatly, however I can only reply to posts, not create
new ones..... of course that is probably a problem with the IE7 Beta......

I had the identical error when trying to delete the junk mail. What I had to
do is delete about 10 emails at a time.

I was able to delete the junk emails without the unknown error message.

I found the e-mails in the OUTBOX were not being transmitted. When I tried
to delete one, I got this error message which was rather meaningless.

Have a message in my outbox that I can not delete, it will not let me send
any messages out. It is holding all the messages after the date of this
message??

VISTA MAIL. ONE CORRPUTED EMAIL MESSAGE TO SEDN CANT BE ERASED.

There is no permanent fix yet. Some users have reported they
achieved a temporary fix by deleting the entire Windows Mail directory
(C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail).
Next time you start Windows Mail it will regenerate all the standard
folders, but your stored emails will be gone. If there is anything valuable
in there, you may want to save a copy of the Windows Mail directory
before you delete it

Another option is to switch to an alternate mail program until such
time as Microsoft comes out with a permanent fix for Windows Mail.

the AppData folder doesnt appear when I look for it in c:users/myname BUT it
does appear when I try to attach something from the users/myname folder. How
can I see it?

Thanks for the help!

You will need to do the following:
Control Panel, Folder Options, View tab, select "Show hidden files
and folders."

that helped ( ican now see all mail folders and files) but the corrupted
outbox email isnt anywhere to be seen, so that it could be erased.

should ierased the outbox entirely and then create a new out box folder?
