Hi all, i have a client with XP home, updated with the latest security patches, and i have installed the latest virus definition file, i have scanned also with online antivirus service (Mcafee and Symantec), i have installed and updated the latest backdoor removal tool (spyboot and adware). there is a svchost.exe process (it doesn't seem the system svchost process) that take 100% CPU usage, when i kill it the cliento work better but it seems there is another unknown .exe process that call other 2/3 svchost.exe process. I've tried to use all fix and removal tool but i find no solution, i don't want to reinstall the client, someone could help me?

note the process name and do a search for it physical location. use
processexplorer from
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/procexp.shtml to check out it
present.

the best way to kill/remove something is to first open up command prompt, go
to the directory where the file you want to delete located. use task manager
to explorer.exe then the suspicious process(s). switch back to cmd prompt
window and delete it. finally check out use task manager to run "msconfig"
and check the startup tab and disable unneeded ones.

Let me know how that goes.
