All 3d game cause pc freeze

Any game I play will freeze within 20mins, no crash dump
cannot do anything other than pull the plug.

I've tried everything, clean installs, formats,
bootsector wipes, fat32/ntfs, drivers & bios up-to-date,
no overheating issues, no clocking.

I've done nigh on everything so far my pc is using the
following:

xp2400
512ddr pc2100
msiFX5600 128mb Nvidia card
sb live 5.1
and ample power supply

The only thing I can find that may possibly be causing
the issue is a refference to a failed driver load in
event viewer::

Application popup: : Machine Check: Regs

Then when submitting I get:::

Ensure that the program user has sufficient privileges to
access the directory in which the driver is installed.
Reinstall the program to restore the driver to the
correct location.
If these solutions do not work, contact Product Support
Services.

No idea what this driver is so cant work out what is
going wrong...really really need help, thanks in advance.

Hi Securiton,

Do you get the same results if you use an Administrator account?

Now you've already mentioned in your post that you've checked
for overheating, ample power supply and overclocking, so please
try steps 1 and 4 from my list first.

Hardware issues can cause freezing, black screens and other
errors. Also, your drivers should always be kept up to date.

Try the following steps one at a time to try and resolve the issue.

1. Update DirectX and your Chipset, Sound, &Video Drivers:

2. Dust your fans, vents and components using a 1/4" paintbrush
and a hose vacuum. Use compressed air for hard to reach places.
Set a housefan to blow cold air into your case to expose an over-
heating issue.. If it works add more fans or replace defective ones.

3. A faulty power supply can cause STOP errors, random reboots,
and black screen lockups. One way to test for that is to check the
wattage sticker on your power supply and then calculate your need

4. Test your RAM using: http://www.memtest86.com/memt30.zip
after you extract that zip file, click on the README.txt file for the
instructions on how to create the boot floppy to test your RAM.
