Administrator Restrictions

Whenever I try to do certain things I keep getting an error msg:

This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your System Administrator.

Idunno why Im getting this msgs all of a sudden this is my home computer and
only i use it.

I dont see how to chnage it, help?

It would help to know what "certain things" are.
Security issues are different between XP Home and XP Pro. Which are
you using?
