Administrative password

HI. I have what I hope will be an easy question. I am attempting to repair my
XP Home installation, and when I get to the screen that asks if I want to
install or repair, I choose repair and them it asks me for a password. I hit
enter, and it goes to the C drive designation. What do I do after that? I
don't see an option to repair. Thanks in advance for your help. The XP
version is 1a and I have a Dell Optiplex GX 270

Common issue, there are TWO distinct Repair operations from the
XP Boot CD. The 1st is the Recovery Console ( Which you selected ).
What you have to do to perform a Repair or In-Place install is select
Install. Immediately the setup will check for an existing instance of XP
and if detected ask if you'd like to repair it.
*If the Setup does not detect an existing install DO NOT continue as
you'll end up overwriting you existing XP with a fresh instance.
