additional IE 6 windows lock up

Hi, When I am browsing with IE 6, if I look at an
additional link a new window opens and then all the
windows locks up.
The only way to get it working again is to Ctrl,Alt,Del
bring up the Task Manager and delete the running task.
Anybody have any ideas about this problem?
