adding scanner

In a failed attempt to install an Epson All-In-One, I
messed up the program that adds scanners and cameras in
the control pannel. When I click add device, nothing
happens. I don't have a windows disk, just a Sony restore
disk. Any way to get this back? Thanks for your help.

Completely uninstall and reinstall the All in One unit.....

See Bruce Sanderson's site for details....
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm

If there is an uninstall package on Epson's website.... use that first, then
Bruce's instructions to see that everything was indeed uninstalled.

Then reboot the PC. Use the latest driver package from Epson
(www.epson.com). Install the software and only reconnect the All in One
unit when the software tells you to do so.

thanks for your help cari. no luck. I've been all over
the internet patching and upgrading. Printer works fine,
scanner software sends message "Please install the
supported twain device." And the scanner wizard in
windows does not work. I have a feeling that's the
problem. How can I get it back?
