Hi,
some hotfixes don't appear in the Add/Remove program list. But to remove
a hotfix you will lose the benefits of it.But it causes you problems
then you may try the following edit:-
Remove Hotfixes from Add or Remove (Line 193)

Does anyone know of a way to remove an HOTFIX KBxxxxxx
from the ADD/REMOVE control panel that does not have a
CHANGE/REMOVE button?

Hi,

Yep, just delete the associated subkey in the registry under this key:

HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/uninstall

MVP Doug Knox also has written a utility to automate this process if you are
interested, see:

Or simply just leave it all there. WinXP SP2 might fix the mess. The
advanced beta version of SP2 seems to.

WinXP SP2 should be out before the end of July and it should be a no-brainer
decision for most everyone to apply it. If it works as it does in Beta, all
the mess in Add/Remove will be cleaned up. So for the time being I would
advise people to just leave their patches as is and wait for SP2 (which
should be pretty soon).
