Add/Remove programs

Scott

I have several programs in my add/remove list that have not been
uninstalled correctly and would like to remove them from the list. I
have googled and most pages say that tweakui will allow the cleaning
of this list. I have tweakuixp but can find no entry in it for
removing items from the add/remove list. There is also mention of
registry edits but I am not comfortable with working in the
registry..I also don't have the programs that I can reinstall to try
to remove again. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Have a look at this MS K/B article
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314481

Backup the uninstall key to Desktop or My Documents first and you
will be OK.

Thanks Roberto, that wasn't so scary after all..LOL, but after using
the registry editor I still have one listing in add remove programs
that does not show up in the registry at all. Any ideas about that
one. It is "Comand and Conquer Generals" If that is any help.

Did you open all the sub keys - particuarly the ones in curly brackets
? {XXXX }, also you could do a search -
edit > find... > Comand and Conquer Generals as the search term and see
if anything turns up.
