activated or not? MAS working properly or is this a beta issues?

when I first open up MAS, the window box shows that 2 out
of 3 real time security agents are active. When I click on
the real time protection icon the next window shows that
all 3 agents (internet, system, and applications) are
active. The text says "security agent status: active" and
there is a big star that says that 18 agents are active.
But ---
If I mouse over the 3 individual agent stars below the top
star, I learned that 25 out of 25 agents are active for
each type of agent (same 25?). OK, this is a bit strange.

On the right side of the window, there is text that says
"take me to" with 4 choices: internet agents, system
agents, application agents and blocked events. If I chose
one of these, a new window pops up with the option to view
blocked events. Clicking on this gets the hourglass but
after 5-10 minutes I still get the hour glass. That doesn't
seem right either.

Lastly, the agent status in this window is always x-ed out.
You can "activate" it but that seems to do nothing. On the
right side of the window, there is a section about
checkpoints. But all you can do is get a "hand" image - you
can't click on any of them. Nor does "learn about this
checkpoint" do anything.

Is MAS working properly? Are these the elements that are
not working in the beta? On someone else's system, I recall
that MAS seemed to monitor certain outgoing traffic -
pretty much like a software firewall. How do I do that here?

Thanks. Appreciate any help.
