access vs works

are there any essential differences between access 2003 and works 7 database?
i am doing a college course that includes database/access and on a students
income i don't want to purchase access 2003. i have windows xp and office
2003 student/ teacher, therefore i don't have access but i do have works 7.0.

Unfortunately, they are night and day in terms of differences. ms-access is
full database development tool. You can use ms-access to develop commercial
grade quality applications. Works is a data manager, but noting remote close
to ms-access.

If are taking a course, you absolute need ms-access. I believe some student
editions of ms-access should only be about $100. Check at the college book
store etc, but they do generally have discounted prices for this stuff...

little constructive advice would have been appreciated. if you don't
understand some of the words i have used then maybe you should ask your
muummy to explain, or of course wait until you grow up a little.

use SQL Express. and VB.net express.
Access is obsolete; no point in learning it now.

ms access isn't a full database development tool

Access ADP _IS_ a full database development tool
