Access should be included in Student / Teacher Edition

I just started taking a college course about technology in education. As
part of this course, we must learn to use MS Access to make databases.
Therefore, I am a student studying to be a teacher, and this teaching course
requires me to use Access. I couldn't believe that my 2003 Student/Teacher
Edition of MS Office didn't include Access. Not only that, but I would have
to pay full price to get Access. The program is more expensive than the
entire edition of Office is! How is that logical? If Access isn't going to
be included in the Student/Teacher Edition, there should at least be a
discount available for students and teachers other than the discount for
buying several copies.

Actually, you can buy an upgrade copy of Access for around $100, and if you
can find a student edition of the upgrade, for even less. I also think that
you can buy a full version of Office Professional in your student bookstore
for a hefty discount.
