Access denied with offline folders

Hello,

Have a client that was using offline folders to sync his "My Documents" to
his personal folder on the server. All was working well until he received a
new laptop. Since the set up of the new laptop he can sync changes from the
server back to the laptop but anytime files are created while off the network
there is an access denied message with the logon sync. I have purged the
cache and no go. As I have mentioned, he was working error free until this
new laptop. This user's domain profile is in the local Admin group and he
logs on with this profile whether he is on or off the network. Strangely
enough, this same laptop caused another network user a lot of woe when they
had it. Since moving that user off this laptop to another, they have worked
without error. Am I missing something with this laptop? I have dozens of
clients that use this feature and have only run into problems with this 1
piece of equipment.

Thank you for the info. I have already been through those articles. Nothing
has changed on the server or it's shares. This all worked error free for
this user until he got this new laptop. Here is the set up - He has a mapped
drive for M: that points to \\server\userdata\username and then his local my
documents' target is changed to m:\. Everyone has full share and file
security to \\server\userdata. This user and his offline set up is the same
as other users, I have sat them side by side and compared the settings. It's
almose like it treats the offline user (domain user logged on with cached
credentials) as a different user than the domain user that logs onto the
computer when connected to the network.
