A Disk Read Error Occured

Herb

I've installed 6 18gb HD in a dell 4200 poweredege and
Tried to install Win 2000 Advanced Server.
After the first part of the install I receive this error
after the computer reboots.

"A disk read error occured"
Please press ctrl + alt + del to reboot.
I had this up and running with 6-9gb hd with no problems.
I did a low level format on the drives, configured them
and then initialized them.I'm trying to use NTFS. AMI
SCSI Raid card.Drives 0 and 1 are logical drive 0 and
drives 2,3,4 are logical drive 1 and drive 6 is a
hotspare.
Can anyone help me?

Thanks!!

You'll need to boot the Windows 2000 setup disks or CD-Rom and *F6* very
early and very important (at setup is inspecting your system) in the setup
to prevent drive controller detection, and select S to specify additional
drivers. Then later you'll be prompted to insert the manufacturer supplied
Windows 2000 driver for your raid controller in drive "A"

If you wait and then S to specify additional drivers, then it may be too
late as Windows 2000 Setup at this point may have already assigned the
resources your drive's controller is wanting to use.
