Hard Drive Size Problem

I have a Dell PowerEdge 4200 that I Have tried over and
over to install Windows 2000 AS on 18gb hard drives. I've
tried the f6 key and loaded the raid drivers and this
did'nt work.
I went in and resized the partition down to 11,000mb and
the installation worked!
Why wont it reckonize my 18 gb?
Thanks for any help.
Info:
Drives 0 and 1 are raid 1(logical drive 0)
Drives 2,3 and 4 are raid five (logical drive 1)
Drive 5 is a hotspare.
Bios is A05

I have seen other reporting this issue with an AMI Perc II RAID controller.
It seems to be a driver or hardware issue. My suggestion would be to ask in
this Dell forum:
