3 questions regarding my hbds sony vaio laptop help please ty :

[Sony Vaio laptop help]

Hi there,...

My husband owns a sony vaio laptop for roughly a year now he loves it , i
get frusterated with it haha.. i own the desktop version of dell windows
xp home edition..

my question is simmiliar to the 2005 sony vaio not so nice lady.. but
however i didnt see were itwas going all i know from that strange convo
is

you cant place a dell windows xp cd onto a sony vaio that much i learnt
from that thread. was painful reading it lol

so the question remains were is the sony vaio lap top windows xp home
edition full cd and how much etc etc... were looking to purchase it
because he has some threats on his computer but is not affecting it in
some strange way it jsut says something like that its his computer i dont
go on it hardly.. his virtual memory or ram is slower then molasses these
days.. when he bought it was faster then a lap top could go.. mind you
he downloads things i wish he wouldnt but again is his laptop not mine
lol.. we both play online games.
however i have no problems he does and

after installing windows sp3 he too gets them 2 messages im trying to
figure out how to get rid of it for him for a sony vaio as i know nothing
bout his computer.. or install something else.. to rid of it is what im
understanding..

so basically the 3 questions are of

A) sony vaio lap top windows xp cd purchase site ( as i have searched out
many and get loads of blogs on it but not the actual site to buy)

B) and the other of the sony vaio laptop how to rid of the sp3 error
messages..

C) also does anyone know the keys to how to reformat a sony vaio laptop?

The Sony computers, like HP, Compaq, Acer, etc., you have to make a set of restore CDs or DVD from a
program built into the computer. (Check your owners manual). If you don't make them, you will be
SOL when it comes to restoration. For some models of Sony you can buy a set of restore disk from
this web site. www.restoredisks.com

You don't reformat any computer with keys. You do it from a bootable system disk that has the
right tools. The Windows XP installation disk will do it. The Sony restoration disks will do it.
If you meant, what keys do I press to start a built-in restoration procedure, again check with your
owners manual. You don't even give us the model number so we can help you.

again not my computer there pretty strait forward questions i would think
and i have reformated my computer with ctrl and f keys..and my computer
is running fine.. however with this said ill ask him later tonight.. as hes
at work right now..as i dont belive it came with a manual as he bought it off
ebay. i dont see how a model number would help as sony vaio laptops are
near all the same im sure of.. but again will ask later.. thanks again..

And I might add to your info that the CD-KEY for activation might be a
sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

Sony Vaio laptops are NOT all the same and the model number IS important.
You might be able get a manual in PDF from Sony for the particular model
that you have. At the very least, you can find information on the Sony
website for the particular model number that you have.
You might think your questions are straightforward but your bad spelling and
punctuation make your post difficult to read and can result in your not
getting the answers you need.
