Can you check your hosts file:

The location of the Hosts file may vary and some
computers may not have this file. For example, if the
file exists in Windows 98, it will usually be in
C:\Windows; and it is located in the C:\WINNT\system32
\drivers\etc folder in Windows 2000. You can search for
hosts using the search feature and then open the file
with notepad

If your unsure just download this hoster program that
displays your hosts file:

Download Hoster to your desktop :

http://andymanchesta.com/Downloads/hoster.zip

Extract and double click hoster.exe to run

When it opens it will display your hosts file in the left
pane,A default host file will look like this:

----------------------------------------------------------

# Copyright © 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP
for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host
names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP
address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the
corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by
at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted
on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a "#"
symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
#
127.0.0.1 localhost

----------------------------------------------------------

If theres any entries below the localhost line (Press
copy to clipboard so you can paste the file back if
needed) & press 'Restore Original Hosts' to reset it to
Microsoft's default host file

Next download Deldomains (This resets Security & Trusted
Zones)

Download DelDomains.inf from here:

Save to Desktop

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/DelDomains.inf

Rightclick DelDomains.inf and choose install.
You will notice the desktop icons flash off then on again
thats then finished and reset the zones

Download Ccleaner

http://download.ccleaner.com/download119bin.asp

Run it on all 3 settings (windows, applications & issues)
and remove anything found

Reboot

That should reset things unless you have any malware
installed,Heres a couple of online virus scanners incase
you need them :
