Because you get so many more features. It's designed with security in mind,
has a built-in editor or you can use an external editor (notepad/metapad),
you can update your hosts file from 4 different sites and merge them all
together with your existing hosts file, you can specify an EXCLUSION list.
Also, you can run an http server (127.0.0.1 or another IP) that will display
a message in your browser (IE/FF) when you visit a site that is blocked by
something in the hosts file. Then you know which entry/entries are being
blocked. You can choose to exclude them or temporarily disable your hosts so
you can view the site. There are so many other nice features of HostsMan, I
don't know where to start. Just read the documentation on the website and
help files. Best of all it's free!
