10-15 minutes to reboot

I have a p4, 160 gig hd (ultra ata 100 controller card),
on an Asus p4s533-e motherboard, I also have SoundBlaster
Audio and ATI Radeon 8500Dv vid card.

Running XP Pro.
All windows updates are current.

Problem...
10-15 minutes to reboot, all programs now hang, I cant
have more then one thing going at a time. All was fine.
came home from work, and mouse was froze so I rebooted,
and ... well.... thats when it started.

Have Nortons antivirus, its scanning me as virus free...

have reformatted about 10 times since then, and it is
still the same result.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I had similar problem. System restore would't fix it. But I
uninstalled/Reinstalled EZ firewall (latest) and problem fixed
